The Aquatic Gardeners Association, Inc. (AGA) is a non-profit social welfare association organized in accordance with Section 501(c)(4) of the US Internal Revenue Code. Dues and other payments to the AGA are not deductible as charitable contributions for US Federal income tax purposes.
The AGA was founded in 1985 by aquatic plant enthusiasts to appeal to both beginners and
experienced hobbyists alike. We publishes a printed quarterly journal called
The Aquatic Gardener (or TAG
), the only English language
journal devoted to aquarium plants and planted aquaria. AGA
members receive a free subscription to TAG and all
special publications, and receive access to our online back issue catalog and video archive of past conventions and other livestreams.
Members also can purchase printed back issues,
recent convention streams, and t-shirts.
Since the year 2000, the AGA also has hosted a mostly bi-annual convention featuring top-notch speakers from all around the US and the world, and an opportunity to meet hundreds of other aquatic plant enthusiasts like yourself.
We also hold a free yearly online aquascaping contest, and host every entry in perpetuity since its inception in 2000 to help inspire your next creation.
Please consider joining the AGA today!
